The Wildcats earned their second win on the road Sunday, advancing their record to 3-0.  The Wildcats and the Mayhem met for the first time this season in Hagerstown, MD. Steph Condron opened the scoring at 4:15 in the first period.  She was assisted by winger Kim Griggs. Michele Forte followed later with her first goal of the season and was assisted by Steph Condron and defenseman Eve Borner. The period ended with the Wildcats leading, 2-0.

Michele Forte opened the second period with another goal and was assisted once again by Steph Condron. Defenseman Margaret Moran earned her second goal of the season when she carried the puck into the offensive zone, shot, then took her own rebound around the net and buried the puck on the goalie's stick side. Next, Karen Frost scored from behind the net as well, when she  bounced the puck off the back of the goalie's pad and into the net. Nice one! Mary Garrison and Eve Borner got the assists. The second period ended with the score 5-0.

Down by 5 and undeterred, the Mayhem refused to let up and continued to battle back.  Off a pass from Casey Arnett in the neutral zone, center Susie Hazard went on a breakaway and scored, bringing the final score to 6-0. The Wildcats had a total of 48 shots on goal.  It was a great offensive effort by all.  Congratulations to goaltender Anita Wray on her first career shutout.  Way to go, Anita!

Next up, the Cats have a double header weekend beginning Dec. 6 when they host the Firestorm. Come on out to the Prince William Ice Center for some great Wildcats hockey!

Let's go CATS!!!
