Another win on Saturday night for the Wildcats against the Frederick Firestorm. The Cats came off their two week Thanksgiving break a little flat and found themselves down 2-0 with about 10 minutes left to go in the second period. Coach Jason Ehlert called a time-out and asked the team to skate like they wanted to win. The time-out seemed to wake up the team and shortly thereafter, Susie Hazard scored a nice goal on an assist by Captain Casey Arnett to cut the lead in half. Just before the end of the second period, the Cats drew even on a goal by defenseman Margaret Moran, again assisted by Casey Arnett. The Cats peppered the Firestorm goalie but were unable to get one past until Rhonda Quiring scored her third of the season, giving the Cats the win.

The Wildcats blanked the Firestorm 3-0 in Frederick on Sunday during the second half of the home and home weekend. Wildcat Rhonda Quiring opened the scoring in the second period with a beautiful top-shelf goal, worthy of any highlight reel. Centers Laura Zdenahlik and Lyne McCauley also netted pucks and were assisted by Susie Hazard and Kim Griggs. Goaltender Anita Wray posted her second career shutout. The Wildcats closed the weekend with a 5-0 record. Nice work, Cats!

Next Saturday, the Wildcats are home and will host the Washington Wolves. The puck drops at 8:10 p.m. Plenty of seats are available.

Let's go, CATS!!!
