The Wildcats suffered their first defeat of the season when they lost 3-2 to the Frederick Firestorm Saturday night.  The Wildcats came out strong early, and scored the first goal of the game, after Margaret Bartha carried the puck end-to-end, and straight through the Firestorm defense.  Despite their strong start, the Cats could not maintain the intensity, and allowed three unanswered Firestorm goals.  The Wildcats managed to score another goal late in the third period, again from Margaret Bartha off of a pass from Laura Zdenahlik.  A scramble in front of the Firestorm net during the following play sent the puck sliding over the line, but the play was waved-off by the ref, along with an opportunity to tie up the game.  Cats' Goalie Katie Pepelko was stellar in net, stoning 39 out of the 42 shots she faced.  Great work, Katie!

The Wildcats have the week off, but are back at practice after Thanksgiving.
