2012-13 Championship Win

On March 10, 2013, the Prince William Wildcats made history by winning the MAWHL D Division Championship title for the first time. 

The Wildcats traveled to Reading, PA for the MAWHL 2012-2013 playoff tournament, hosted by the Reading Reign.  Semi-finals began on Saturday while finals were scheduled on Sunday.  In between, the Reign arranged for participating MAWHL teams to attend an ECHL game at a fan-packed Sovereign Center on Saturday night between the Reading Royals and the Wheeling N...

Series Ends with Wildcats Win

After a long hiatus, the Wildcats took the ice again for a match up against the Washington Wolves last Saturday night. It was an excellent game.  For 45 minutes, the two teams slugged it out and battled hard for the "W."

Wildcats - Lightning Tie

The Wildcats arrived at the Prince William Ice Center Saturday night, ready for battle. Their opponent was the formidable Chesapeake Bay Lightning, who entered the MAWHL Senior D Division for the first time this season. The Cats showed up early to the rink, eager to play and even more eager to win.

Wildcats Shutout Firestorm

The Wildcats traveled to Frederick, MD for a Sunday match-up against the Firestorm. The game quickly turned into a barn-burner as each team turned up the heat in determination to take all; however, it was the Wildcats who were victorious in the end.

Wildcats Dominate Reign

Last Saturday night was a great night for hockey, as the Wildcats played host to the Reading Reign. From the first puck drop, the Wildcats attacked and dominated the Reign until the final buzzer. The Wildcats were clicking on all cylinders as they provided strong offensive pressure, solid defense and several newsreel-worthy saves from their goalie.

With the off-season hiatus officially over, the Wildcats took the ice again as a team against the Washington Wolves Sunday night. The Wildcats traveled to the Kettler Capitals Iceplex for the season opener, excited to play, eager to win and with some new additions to roster. The 2012-13 Season is Here!

Time to get ready, Cats!  While the NHL season is on hold, the new MAWHL season is all set to begin. The Wildcats take the ice this weekend for their first practice of the season.  The team is looking forward to lacing up the skates, seeing old teammates and welcoming new ones.  Time to get to work, Wildcats...see you at the rink!
