Wildcats 3-2 Loss

The Wildcats suffered their first defeat of the season when they lost 3-2 to the Frederick Firestorm Saturday night.  The Wildcats came out strong early, and scored the first goal of the game, after Margaret Bartha carried the puck end-to-end, and straight through the Firestorm defense.  Despite their strong start, the Cats could not maintain the intensity, and allowed three unanswered Firestorm goals.  The Wildcats managed to score another goal late in the third period, again from Margaret B...

Wildcats Win!

The Wildcats got their first win in a big way Saturday night with an 8 - 1 victory over the Washington Wolves.  Wildcats' center Diane Sanders opened the scoring early with just 3 minutes into the game.  She was assisted by Margaret Bartha.  The Wildcats' penalty kill unit got their first opportunity less than a minute later when Krista Ehlert was given a hooking minor.  The PK unit kept up the pressure and as the last second of the penalty expired, Heather Meyer potted the puck with the ass...

Wildcats - Wolves Preview

Faceoff

The puck drops Sunday as the Wildcats take on the Wolves for the second time this season.  The Cats are eager for a rematch and win against the Wolves since the first one ended in a tie.  Will they get their "W" this time?  Come out and find out!  Game starts at 4:45 p.m. at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Arlington.  Click the link on the Schedule page for map and directions to the rink.  See you there!

Wildcats on a Roll

The Wildcats are on a roll.  For the third straight game, the Wildcats have come away with a tie. This weekend's game against the Chesapeake Bay Lightning was no exception.  When the Wildcats took the ice on Saturday night, it was anybody's game and anybody's guess as to the outcome.  This was the first time these two teams met, and neither knew what to expect from the other.
