October is finally here, and with it brings a new season of hockey for the Prince William Wildcats!  As the Wildcats prepare to take the ice as a team once again, there is a feeling of excitement and wild anticipation after months of loss and uncertainty.

The Wildcats and the entire Prince William hockey community were devastated by the loss of their beloved rink, the Prince William Ice Center (PWICE), after the roof collapsed under the weight of snow and ice during the February 2010 blizzard.  Plans for a new rink are still in the works, but the Wildcats have had to scramble to find ice in order to save their season.  For the 2010-2011 season, the Cats will be traveling to area rinks for both home and away games; a small price to pay to keep the season alive.  Check the complete season schedule here.

Though the Wildcats do not have a rink to call home this season, we have found a new home online here at www.pwwildcats.org, so bookmark our new web site and visit us often. Be sure to subscribe to the blog and check us out on Facebook!
